Chapter 24.

AN ACT to amend the charter of "The Balti-
more Association for the Improvement of the
Condition of the Poor," and to define its
power to hold property.

Name.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the following shall be
the constitution of "The Baltimore Association
for the Improvement of the Condition of the
Poor :"

ARTICLE 1. This institution shall be called
"The Baltimore Association for the Improve-
ment of the Condition of the Poor."
ART. 2. Its object and design is to discourage

and physical condition of the indigent as so
far as compatible with those objects, the relief
of their necessities.
