Chapter 133.

AN ACT to amend the charter and enlarge the
powers of the North Baltimore Savings Bank
of Baltimore county, as now incorporated
under the provisions of title twenty-three,
article forty, of the Revised Code of Mary-
land, providing for the formation of such cor-
poration.

WHEREAS under the provisions of the general
law under which the said North Baltimore Sav-
ings Bank of Baltimore county is incorporated,
the number of directors managing the same is

limited to twelve ; and whereas experience has
shown that the success of the said corporation
will be greatly promoted by enlarging the num-
ber of directors, and making certain other
changes in their present conduct of business,
which can only be legally effected by act of
legislature ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the charter of the
said North Baltimore Savings Bank of Balti-

such directors as in manner provided by its by-
laws under its present charter.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That whenever any
deposit shall be made by any minor the direc-

tors of said corporation may, at their discretion,
pay such sums as may be due to him or her,
although no guardian shall have been appointed
for such minor, or the guardian of such minor
shall not have authorized the delivery or draw-
ing of the same ; and the check, receipt or ac-
quittance of such minor shall be as valid as if
the same was executed by a guardian of such
minor, or the said minor was of full age, pro-
vided that such deposit shall have been made
personally by said minor ; and whenever any
deposit shall have been made by a married
woman may repay the same on her own receipt.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
