and inquiring into the demands and needs of
said special tax for the purposes of said road in
said road district, as set forth in said petition,
shall determine said special tax to be necessary
and for the best interest of the people in said
district, and said tax to be expended under the
directions of the said commissioners within said

district ; and it shall be the duty of the collector
of county taxes to collect the same, and his
bond shall be responsible therefor ; and the said
taxes shall be collected with the other taxes of
the county, but a separate account kept of the
same; and the expense of collecting said special
tax shall be levied upon and paid by the assessa-
ble property in said road district.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That all laws in-
consistent with this act be and the same are
hereby repealed.
