dence," as amended by the act of eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-six, chapter three hundred and
fifty-seven, entitled "An act to repeal section
three of article thirty-seven of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, entitled 'Evidence,' and to
enact in lieu thereof the following;" also to re-
peal and re-enact with amendment section seven
of the same article ; also to repeal and re-enact
with amendment section thirty-eight of the same
article ; also to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ment section fifty-eight of the same article ; also
to add a new section to the same article providing
an additional mode for taking the depositions of
non-resident witnesses ; and also to repeal section
five of the same article as amended by the act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter one
hundred and nine, entitled " An act to repeal
sections one, two, three, four and five of article
thirty-seven of the Code of Public General Laws,"
entitled " Evidence," and to enact in lieu thereof

additional sections, numbered twenty, twenty-
one, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five and
twenty-six, respectively, to chapter three hun-
dred and twenty-nine of the acts of assembly
passed at the January session, eighteen hundred
and eighty, and entitled "An act to amend, by
adding additional sections thereto, providing for
the giving bond by examiners, depositing of
moneys collected, by them and payment of said
moneys, chapter three hundred and ninety-nine
of the acts of eighteen hundred and seventy-six,
entitled ' An act to repeal an act passed at the
January session of the general assembly of eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-four, chapter four
hundred and forty-one,' entitled 'An act to re-
peal an act passed at the January session of the
