CHAPTER 626.

AN ACT to empower the County Commissioners of Charles
County to levy a sum of money for the building of a school
house for colored children in the corporate limits of La
Plata, first election district of Charles County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Charles county
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to levy for
the building of a school house for colored children within the
corporate limits of La Plata, first election district of Charles
county, such a sum of money as in the opinion of the said
County Commissioners may be sufficient for the erection of a
suitable building for the purpose before stated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the board of school com-
missioners of Charles county are hereby authorized to build
the school house provided for in this act within the corporate
limits of La Plata.

Where to be
built.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 627.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Hitching Bros. Com-
pany, of Frostburg, Maryland, a body corporate duly incor-
porated under the General Laws of Maryland, February 5th,
1891, and recorded in Liber T. L. No. 1, of Certificates of
Incorporation, folio 196, one of the corporation books of
Allegany County.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in addition to the powers conferred on the
Hitchins Eros. Company, of Frostburg, Maryland, by its incor-
poration under the general incorporation laws of the State of
Maryland, under certificate of the Circuit Court for Allegany
county, dated the fifth day of February, eighteen hundred and
ninety-one, that the said company be and it is hereby granted
the additional rights and powers to carry on and conduct, in
