FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

furniture and equipment of every kind attached or belonging
to its present or any other asylum, which it is so as is herein-
before set forth, authorized and empowered to establish,
maintain or enlarge, or used in connection therewith, and any
grant, devise, bequest, legacy, gift, sale or other transfer, or
conveyance of property made to the said corporation, whether
under its present or its former lawful corporate name, or
under any other name; provided, that the intent be clear to
make the same enure to the benefit of the said corporation,
whether the name shall have been made before or shall be
made after the passage of this act, shall be valid and effectual
in law, and vest in the said body corporate and politic a good
title in law, and vest in the said body corporate and politic a
good title in law and equity to the property aforesaid.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all acts or parts
of acts, inconsistent with this act or any provision thereof,
shall be and the same hereby are repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.

Repeal,

SEC. 4. And be it further enactted, That the General Assem-
bly shall have the right, at any time, to repeal or amend this
act or any part or provisions thereof.

Amendment
or repeal.

SEC.5. And be it further enacted, That nothing herein
contained shall be construed to dispense with or as amounting
to the sanction of this General Assembly to any acquisition of
property, whereunto such sanction is required to be given by
article 38 of the bill of rights of this State.

Proviso.


SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

OF THE CHAPTER 75:

AN ACT to provide for the more efficient and prompt collec-
tion of taxes in Talbot County.

Effective.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Talbot county
shall, on or before the third Tuesday in April in each year, or
as soon thereafter as may be, appoint five collectors of all
