CHAPTER 70.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay J. H.
Medairy and Company for stationery furnished the Execu-
tive and Legislative Departments, Court of Appeals and
Library, for the years eighteen hundred and ninety -two and
eighteen hundred and ninety-four.

To pay claim.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of six hundred and seventy-three
dollars and fifteen cents be and the same is hereby appropriated
to pay the claim of J. H. Medairy and Company for stationery
furnished the Executive and Legislative departments, the
Court of Appeals and State Library, for the year eighteen
hundred and ninety-two, and for books and stationery fur-
nished the Senate of Maryland at its present session of
eighteen hundred and ninety-four, on the order of Wm. G.
Purnell, late secretary; and the comptroller be and he is hereby
directed to draw his warrant upon the treasurer in favor of
J. H. Medairy and Company for the said sum of six hundred
and seventy-three dollars and fifteen cents, and that the
treasurer be and he is hereby directed to pay said sum out of
any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 71.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to make contracts with the " House of the Good Shep-
herd for Colored Girls," of the City of Baltimore, and to
make annual appropriations towards the support of said
institution.

hereby empowered to contract with the "House of the Good
Shepherd for Colored Girls," of, the city of Baltimore, for the
maintenance and support of such colored females of the city
of Baltimore as may be lawfully committed to said corporation
