SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all taxes heretofore levied by the County
Commissioners of Somerset county, in said collection districts
Nos. one and three, for the year eighteen hundred and ninety
and eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and not yet collected,
but still due and owing to said collectors, may be collected by
Oliver T. Beauchamp and James D. Anderson, in accordance
with the existing law of Maryland provided for the collection
of taxes, within two years from the passage of this act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 578.
AN ACT to repeal Section two hundred and thirteen to two
hundred and twenty-six, inclusive, of Article twenty of the
Code of Public Local Laws, being the local laws for Somer-
set County, title "Somerset County," sub-title "Revenue and
Taxes," respecting the appointment and election of a County
Treasurer and Collector of State and County taxes, in Som-
erset County, and to enact the following Sections in lieu
thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections two hundred and thirteen to two
hundred and twenty-six, inclusive, of article twenty of the
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Somerset County,"
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes," be and the same are hereby
repealed and the following sections are enacted in lieu thereof.
SEC. 213. And be it enacted, That the legal and qualified
voters of Somerset county are hereby authorized and em-
