SEC. 6. And le.it enacted, That this act shall go into effect
as soon as it is adopted by the State of Virginia through an
act of her General Assembly, and shall continue in full force
and operation until the same shall have been repealed or
altered by either State.

When this act

SEC.7. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall be
construed in any way to impair, alter or abridge any rights
which either State or the citizens thereof may be entitled to,
either by, through, under or against the compact entered into

between the States of Maryland and Virginia on the 28th day

of March, eighteen hundred and eighty-five, or any existing
law of either of the two said States.

CHAPTER 64.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's County," sub-
title "Fish," to follow Section 150, and to be numbered
Section 150 A.


SECTION 1. Bo it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Prince George's County," sub-title "Fish," to follow section
150, to be numbered section 150 A, and to read as follows:

New section.

150 A. It shall not be lawful for any person during the
spawning season, that is to say, between the first day of March
and: the first day of May in any year, to put, place, erect, con-
struct or use in the waters of the Patuxent river, at any point
above a line drawn from Claggett's Landing, on the Prince
George side, to Lerch's Mill, on the Anne Arundel side of
said river, or in any of the coves, creeks or tributaries of said
river in Prince George's county, any set net, fish basket, fish
instrument for catching fish; provided, that any resident of
pot, fish trap, set line, weir, pound net or tike, or other similar
Prince George's or Anne Arundel counties may erect any or
all such contrivances during the said spawning season, by leav-
ing a space of not less than fifteen feet between the end of
