FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

CHAPTER 559.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of County Commissioners of
Worcester County to appropriate of the money which they
may receive for year eighteen hundred and ninety-three,
from the issuance of tongers' license in said county, the
sum of seventy dollars and ninety-one cents to pay and
reimburse Francis T. Taylor, Levin J. Houston and William
E Bruner, for certain supplies and advances made in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-two, to persons engaged in
catting a canal connecting the Sinepuxent bay with the
Atlantic Ocean, at or near a point where Green Run inlet
formerly was.

WHEREAS, The closing up of Green Run inlet has very
materially affected the growing and cultivating of oysters in
Sinepuxent bay, and an unsuccessful effort was made in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-two, to again connect said bay
with the Atlantic Ocean at or near said inlet, and to assist said
enterprise, certain moneys in the hands of Worcester county
were, by chapter 541 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland for the year 1892, appropriated for said purpose,
which moneys so applied were insufficient for the full payment
of the expenses connected with the same, there being the sum
of seventy dollars and ninety-one cents now owing to Francis
T. Taylor, Levin J. Houston and William E. Bruner on
account of said inlet enterprise.

Preamble

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the board of Comity Commissioners of:
Worcester county are authorized to appropriate the sum of
seventy dollars and ninety-one cents of the money which shall
come into their hands from the issuance of tongers' license
tc catch oysters in said bay for the year eighteen hundred and
ninety-three, to Francis Taylor, Levin J. Houston and William
E. Brnner, to pay their said sum of seventy dollars and ninety-
one cents in settlement of their bills for advances and supplies
furnished to persons engaged in cutting said inlet in the year
eighteen hundred and ninety-two, as aforesaid, and the said
money shall be paid and expended under the supervision of
said board of County Commissioners.

May pay
claim.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.
