time than sixty days after notice thereof by the bailiff, the
commissioners may have the same paved at his, her or their
expense, and may collect the cost of such pavement from such
owner in such manner as other debts are collected, and any
judgment obtained in such case shall be a preferred lien on
said property.

SEC. 210 G. The assessor appointed by the commissioners of
said town shall have power and authority to require the
owners, possession or claimant of any property liable to valua-
tion and assessment to give them such a full and accurate
statement in writing of his property as may be necessary to
enable the assessors to ascertain the value thereof, the same to
be under the oath of such person, to be administered by such
assessor.

SEC. 210 H. If any person shall wilfully refuse, or after ten
days' notice shall neglect to render such statement of his
property or effects, or any part thereof, as he is required to
furnish upon the requisition of the assessor for said town, the
said assessors shall thereupon, upon their own knowledge, and
upon the best information they can obtain, value the property
of such persons to the utmost sum they believe the satne to be
worth in cash.

SEC. 210 I. The president and other officers of any bank or
other corporation, whose stock, standing in the name of any
other individual or company on the books of said bank or cor-
poration, is liable to be valued and assessed against such person
or company owning said stock, shall make out and deliver to
such assessor an account of stock so standing and held in such
corporation, and the same shall be verified by the oath of the
proper officer of the bank or corporation, or the said assessors
may demand the stock book of said bank or corporation to be
opened to their inspection.

SEC. 210 J. All able-bodied male citizens residing in the
corporate limits of Princess Anne, over eighteen years of
age, shall be compelled to labor not less than three days, of ten
hours each, in every year, on the streets of said town; provided,
however, no person shall be required to labor who may furnish
a substitute, or pay to the bailiff the sum of one dollar per
day for each day's labor required of him, in lien of said labor
and any person who shall fail or refuse to obey the summons
of the bailiff for labor on the public streets, shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor, and upon complaint made by the bailiff shall
