FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.
Washington and Potomac Railroad Company, as now organ-
ized, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered, at
such time after said receiver's sale and reorganization of said
Washington City and Point Lookout Railroad Company, and
upon such terms as may be mutually agreed on between them,
to consolidate the said companies into one corporation nnder
such name as may be determined on by the respective parties
to such consolidation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That when such consolidation is
effected, the corporation so created shall be and it is hereby
clothed with all the rights, powers, privileges, franchises and
duties as the said respective companies are now or may here-
after be clothed with under their respective charters, and the
laws of the State of Maryland, for the construction, equip-
ment, maintenance and operating a railroad in conformity to
their said charters, and shall have power to cancel the mort-
gages and bonds now outstanding, issued by either of said
companies, and in lieu thereof to issue such new mortgage or
mortgages upon the property, franchises and rights of said
consolidated company as its board of directors and president
shall think proper; and said consolidated company shall have
all the rights and powers of condemnation for rights of way
and of property for other railroad purposes as is granted tc
similar corporations by article 23 of the Code of Public
General Laws, and shall also be subject to all the limitations
prescribed by said article.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Double Pipe Creek Turnpike Road Company of Frederick
County, State of Maryland.
