the east side of the public road leading to Barrier's corner,
one foot inside of fence; thence north eighty-five degrees and
twenty-two minutes, west three hundred and nine and two-tenths
feet to a stone in William Brown's meadow, seventy -seven
feet southwest of slaughter house; and thence north one degree,
east nine hundred and seventy-nine and five-tenths feet to the
stone and place of beginning; and the property within said
limits shall be subject to such taxes and assessments as may be
deemed necessary by said commissioners, to support and main-
tain the expenses that may be incurred in the improvement of
said village.

CHAPTER 523.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with admendments Section
134 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Montgomery County," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating
Drinks."

Repeal.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section one hundred and thirty-four of article
sixteen of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Montgomery
County," sub-title "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks," be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
so as to read as follows :

134. Any person, corporation, company or association,
violating the provisions of the preceding section, by selling,
directly or indirectly, bartering or trading any kind of intoxi-
cating liquors in said county, upon conviction or indictment
shall be fined not less than fifty (50) dollars and not more
than three hundred (300) dollars, and the costs of prosecution
of such offender or offenders for each offence; and in default
of immediate payment of the tine and costs herein imposed,
the offender shall be imprisoned in the Maryland House of
Correction for not less than two (2) months nor more than six
(6) months; provided, that nothing contained in this act shall
apply to cases pending nor to violation of the law which have
heretofore occurred, but all such cases and violations shall be
prosecuted and punished as if the law hereby repealed was
still in force.
