FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

a body corporate by the name and style of the Mount Vernon
Mission and Kindergarten Association of Baltimore, and by
that name they, and their successors to be selected as herein-
after provided, shall have perpetual succession, and shall and
may at all times hereafter be capable in law to have, receive

and retain, to them and to their successors, property, both real
and personal, and also to receive gifts, devises and bequests
from any person or persons capable of making the same, for
the purpose of establishing and carrying on in connection with
Mount Vernon Place Methodist Episcopal Church of Balti-
more, a Kindergarten Mission and other religious, social and
philanthropic work in Baltimore city, and may invest the same
and at their pleasure transfer and dispose of them in such
manner as they may think best.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the number of trustees of
the Mount Vernon Mission and Kindergarten Association of
Baltimore shall not be less than five nor more than seven, and
if at any time the number shall be reduced to less than five by

death, resignation or otherwise, the remaining trustees shall
fill the vacancy within thirty days from amongst the members
of Mount Vernon Place Methodist Episcopal Church of Balti-
more, who are over twenty-one years of age, and that the cor-
porators herein named shall be the directors for the time being,
and shall from time to time fill such vacancies as may occur in
said board of directors as by this section provided.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said corporation and its
successors, by the name and title as aforesaid, shall hereafter be
capable in law to sue and be sued, and have a common seal,
and the same alter or remove at pleasure, and shall have and
exercise all such rights and privileges as by law are incident to
corporations.

Corporate
powers.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That three members of the
board of trustees shall Constitute a quorum at all meetings of
that body, and shall be capable of transacting the business
thereof, and to make by-laws, rules and regulations.

Quorum.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly of
Maryland may, at any time when it may deem the same
necessary, alter or repeal this charter.

Amendment
or repeal.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage

Approved April 6th, 1894.
