strike from the list of qualified voters on their respective regis-
tration books therefor, names of all persons residing witnin
the limits of and entitled to vote in said Ridgely district or
district number seven; and that it shall be the duty of the
officers of registration of districts numbers three, four and tive
to strike from the list of qualified voters on their respective
registration books therefor, names of all persons residing
within the. limits of and entitled to vote in said American
Corner district or district number eight; and also the duty of
the officers of registration of district number three to strike
from the list of qualified voters of district number three
names of all persons residing in that part of district number
three transferred to district number two by this act.

Repeal.
|
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That all acts inconsistent with
the provisions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 500.
AN ACT to repeal and to re-enact with amendments Section
222, Article 3, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
" Baltimore County," sub-title " Sheriff."

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 222 of article 3, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, entitled " Baltimore County,"
sub-title "Sheriff," be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

Salary of
sheriff.
|
SEC. 222. The sheriff of Baltimore county shall receive an
annual salary of three thousand dollars, from and after the
expiration of the term of the present sheriff of said county,
to be paid to him in quarterly installments of seven hundred
and fifty dollars, by the County Commissioners of Baltimore
county, and he shall be allowed the same sum annually, to be
paid to him by the said Commissioners, in quarterly installments,
