LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 58.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections
one hundred and eighty-two, one hundred and eighty-four,
one hundred and eighty-five, one hundred and eighty-six,
one hundred and eighty-seven, one hundred and eighty eight
and one hundred and ninety of Article twenty-two of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington County,"
sub-title "Hagerstown," and also to add ..additional sections
to said Article twenty-two, Code of Public Local Laws,
entitled "Washington County," sub-title "Hagerstown," to
follow section two hundred and five of said Article twenty-
two, and to be known and designated as Sections two hun-
dred and tive "A," two hundred and five "B," two hundred
and five "C." two hundred and five "D," two hundred and
five "E," two hundred and tive "F" of said Article twenty-
two, and also to add an additional section to said Article
twenty-two, Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Wash-
ington County," sub-title ''Hagerstown," to follow section
one hundred and ninety-five of said Article twenty-two,
and to be known and designated as Section one hundred and
ninety-five "A" of said Article twenty-two.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections one hundred and eighty-two, one
hundred and eighty-four, one hundred and eighty-five, one
hundred and eighty-six, one hundred and eighty-seven, one
hundred and eighty-eight and one hundred and ninety of
article twenty-two of Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Washington County," sub-title "Hagerstown," be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so
as to read as follows :

Power over
streets, lanes
sewers, etc.

182. The mayor and council shall have power to provide
for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or
closing up, in whole or in part, any street, highway, square,
lane, alley, sewer, sanitary sewer, drain or water course within
the bounds of said town, which, in their opinion, public conven-
ience may require.

184. Whenever the mayor and council shall direct any
street, highway, lane, alley, square, sewer, sanitary sewer,
