Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 483.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to Charlotte Hall
School, in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

Appropria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of two thousand dollars be and the
same is hereby appropriated for the use and benefit of Char-
lotte Hall School, in St. Mary's county, in this State, and that
said appropriation shall continue for five consecutive years.

To whom to
be paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said sum of two thous-
and dollars, hereby annually appropriated for five consecutive
years, shall be and is hereby made payable by the Treasurer
of the State of Maryland, on the warrant of the Comptroller,
to the president of the board of trustees of Charlotte Hall
School, in St. Mary's county, in this State, on the first day of
June, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and annually there-
after, on the same day in each year, until and including the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 484.

AN ACT to provide for an election to be held in the town of
Cambridge, Dorchester County, to regulate the liquor traffic
therein; and repealing Sections 207 to 213, inclusive, of
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title " Dor-
chester County," sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks,"
so far as the same may relate to or affect said town of Cam-
bridge; and repealing and re-enacting with amendments,
Section 218 of said article.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
