said commissioners shall have power to reject such reports
until the same shall have been made in a satisfactory manner
to them; and upon the failure of said trustees to make
correct and satisfactory reports, and for any improper conduct
as such trustee or trustees, the said County Commissioners are
hereby authorized and empowered to dismiss any or all of said
trustees, and to fill such vacancies.

Meetings
|
10. They, or a majority of them, shall meet together at the
almshouse in said county, on the first Monday in February,
yearly, and at such other times as they shall deem necessary ;
|
|
|
Overseer.
|
and appoint a fit person to be overseer of the almshouse, and
such other proper officers and servants as may seem necessary
to them.
|
|
|
Salary.
|
11. They shall pay said overseer a salary not exceeding the
sum of two hundred and twenty-five dollars per annum, and
so pro rata during his continuance in office.
|
|
|
Power of
removal.
|
12. They may remove at their pleasure said overseer, and
all other officers and servants appointed by them, and appoint
others in their places.
|
|
|
Bond of
overseer.
|
13. They shall require the said overseer to enter into a bond,
with sufficient sureties, payable to the said trustees, in the
penalty of five hundred dollars, conditional for the faithful
performance of the duties of his office.

|
Meetings.
|
14. The trustees, or a majority of them, shall meet at the
almshouse, at least once in each month, or oftener, if deemed

necessary by them, and shall make such rules and by-laws as
they, or a majority, shall think convenient and necessary for
the direction, government and support of the almshouse, and
the employment of all poor persons that be committed thereto.

inmates
|
15. The overseer shall keep a regular list of all persons
committed to said almshouse.
|
|
|
Reports of
overseer,
|
16. He shall keep and return to the said trustees, upon oath,
to be administered by one of them, monthly reports, in writing,
of all the stock, farming utensils and other things remaining
in his hands, together with a statement of the crops and other
articles made on the farm or estate of said almshouse, and of
the expenses and charges attending the maintenance and sup-
port of the inmates thereof, and of all money received by him
from the sale of the produce from said farm or estate, and
