CHAPTER 434.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," to be designated as Section 126 A,
providing for the printing of all notices and publications of
newspaper advertisements required to be given or published
by the officers of registration, sheriff and supervisors of
election, and the printing of all ballots required to be fur-
nished by the supervisors of election under the Public
General Laws, relating to registration of voters and elec-
tions, to be contracted for by the County Commissioners.

New section.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section be enacted and added to
article two, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne
Arundel County," sub-title "County Commissioners," to be
designated as section 126 A, providing for the printing of all
notices and publications of all newspaper advertisements,
required to be given or published by the officers of registra-
tion, sheriff and supervisors of election; and the printing of
all ballots required to be furnished by the supervisors of elec-
tion, under the Public General Laws of this State, relating
to registration of voters and elections, to be contracted for by
the County Commissioners, to read as follows :

SEC. 126 A. All printed notices and newspaper advertise-
ments required to he given or published by the officers of
registration, sheriff and supervisors of election, and the print-
ing of all ballots required to be furnished by the supervisors
of election, under the Public General Laws of this State,
relating to registration of voters and elections, shall be con-
tracted for by the County Commissioners; and the said County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel county are hereby authorized
to award the said printing either by a direct order of the board,
or, in their discretion to advertise in two newspapers published
in said county for proposals for all said printing and publica-
tions, specifying the work to be done, and shall award the
same to the lowest bidder or bidders; and no contract shall be
given out for any printing or publication such as contemplated
by this act, or shall be paid for by said County Commissioners,
except that contracted for in the manner hereinbelore pro-
vided; and all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act,
are hereby repealed.
