ciation, for the purpose of propagating, protecting and preserv-
ing all kinds of game, on the property of said body corporate
and of its members, which it or they now own or may here-

after acquire or control; and by said name shall be capable of
purchasing, holding, selling, leasing and conveying property,
real, personal and mixed, so far as may be necessary to carry
out the object of the said body corporate; to have perpetual
succession; to sue and be sued; to plead and be impleaded, in
any court of law or equity; to make, have and use a common
seal, and the same to break, alter and renew at their pleasure ;
to make by-laws for the government of said body corporate and
its officers; provided, the same shall not conflict with the Con-
stitution or the laws of this State or of the United States; and
generally to do and execute all and singular such acts, matters
and things as a corporation may and can lawfully execute, and
all such matters and things as may be necessary to carry out
the objects of the said body corporate.

Appointment
of police-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation may apply
to the Governor to commission such persons as the said corpo-
ration may designate to act as policemen, for the protection
of the property and game of the said corporation and of the
members thereof, and for the preservation of peace and good
order on said premises.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 420.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Chapter
670 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January session. 1892, entitled "An Act to pro-
mote, encourage and foster agriculture in the State," and to
appropriate a sum of money therefor.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That chapter 670 of the acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January session, 1890,
