CHAPTER 44.

AN ACT to repeal Section 2 of Chapter 278 of the Acts of
1892, title " Oysters," in so far as it prohibits the taking and
catching of oysters in the waters of Talbot and Dorchester
Counties, with scrape or scoop, after the first day of March.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 2 of chapter 278 of the Acts of 1892,
entitled "Oysters," be and the same is hereby repealed in so
far as it prohibits the taking and catching of "oysters" in the
waters of Talbot and Dorchester counties, with scrape and
scoops, after the first day of March.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the time for the taking and
catching of "oysters" with scrapers or scoops, in Talbot or
Dorchester counties, shall end on the 15th day of March;
provided, however, that no additional license shall be required
for the privilege of taking and catching oysters in the month
of March, as above provided, beyond the license prescribed in
section 155 of article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws.

Expiration of
license.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved February 28th, 1894.

Effective.

CHAPTER 45.

AN ACT to prohibit the sale of spirituous or fermented
liquors at any point within one mile of Chillnm Hall, in
Prince George's County.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That hereafter it shall not be lawful for any
person, house, corporation, company or association to sell or
barter, directly or indirectly, either himself, themselves, or
through an agent or servant, any spirituous or fermented
liquors, ale, lager beer, or alcoholic bitters, at any place within
one mile of Chillnm Hall, in the second election district,
known as Bladensburg district; nor shall the clerk of the
Circuit Court for Prince George's county issue any license for
the sale of the same within said limits.
