is hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon the
Treasurer of the State, for the sum of three hundred and
twenty-five dollars, in favor of Louis A. Dieter, for frescoing,
tinting, painting, &c., the hall of the House of Delegates; for
the sum of six hundred and twenty dollars and twelve cents,
in favor of Mohler and Hurlbutt, for window curtains, drapery
&c., in the Senate chamber and the hall of the House of
Delegates; for the sum of seven hundred and fifty- eight
dollars and eleven cents, in favor of Hall, Headington and
Company, for carpets for the hall of the House of Delegates,
president of the senate room, and matting for the hallways ;
for three thousand five hundred and eighty dollars, in favor of
James Bates, for two gas engines and two elevators complete
for tobacco warehouses number one and number three; for
seven thousand seven hundred and forty-five dollars and sixty-
four cents, in favor of B. F. Bennett, for rebuilding and
repairing old tobacco warehouse number two; for one thousand
five hundred and forty-seven dollars and thirty-seven cents, in
favor of B. F. Bennett, for general repairs to tobacco ware-
houses number one, two, three and four during the years
eighteen hundred and ninety-two and eighteen hundred and
ninety-three; for six hundred and eleven dollars, in favor of
William H. Rothrock, for a pumping engine furnished in the
basement of the State house; for four hundred and thirty-
eight dollars and eighty-five cents, in favor of Hutchinson
Brothers, for material furnished and work done in the dome of
the State house; for two hundred and ten dollars, in favor of
the Fairbanks Company, for scales furnished the north-
western State hay scales, and for one thousand and sixty-four
dollars and four cents, in favor of the Farmers' National Bank
of Annapolis, for sundry amounts advanced the Board of
Public Works to defray the cost of advertising, surveying and
auctioneer's fees, attending the sale of the State cattle scales
Eroperty, and in favor of Bartlett, Hayward & Co., for six
undred and thirty-nine dollars and ninety-eight cents, for
repairs to heating apparatus.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
