ELIHU BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sanction and consent of

the General Assembly of Maryland are hereby given, granted
and declared, to the acquisition by the several religious denom-
inations or sects, orders or corporations above named, at any
time hereafter, whether by gift, grant or otherwise, of the fee
simple title to the lots or parcels of land aforementioned, in
which they are respectively entitled to a leasehold interest or
less than a fee simple title, by virtue of the several deeds,
gifts, grants or devises aforementioned, and by virtue of the
sanction hereinbefore by the first section of this act given, and
to the holding sale, mortgaging, leasing or otherwise disposing
of the same.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 387.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
106 A and 106 B of Article eight of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Cecil County," sub-title "County Com-
missioners," as enacted by Chapter 190 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1892, and to add an
additional section to said article, to be designated as section
106 C, to follow immediately after 106 B.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General, Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 106 A and 106s of article eight of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cecil County," sub-title
"County Commissioners," be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows, and

that a new section, to be designated as section 106 C, and to
follow section 106 B, and to read as hereinafter set forth, be
and the same is hereby added to said article.

New section.

SEC. 106 A. The County Commissioners of Cecil county now
acting, who were elected on the first Tuesday after the first
Monday in the month of November, in the year eighteen
hundred and ninety-one, shall hold their respective offices for
four years from the date of their election; and the County
Commissioner of said county elected on the first Tuesday
