practices of the Senate, now a part of the rules of said body,
and for the use of the same, and the continued use of the same
indefinitely.

Appropria-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the sum of three hundred
dollars is hereby appropriated for the purpose specified in the
foregoing section.
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 346.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 78 of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Public Printer,"
designated as Section eight, relating to the publication of
laws.

New section.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section, designated section eight,
be added to article seventy-eight of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, title "Public Printer," to follow after
section seven, to read as follows :

copied.
|
8. It shall be the duty of the Governor promptly after his
approval of bills passed by the General Assembly, before de-
livering the same to the clerk of the Court of Appeals, to
cause the same to be copied, as well as the bills which become
laws without such approval, and such copies, certified under
the great seal, to be forthwith forwarded to the public printer
for his use in printing the laws; and the sum of eight hundred
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby
appropriated out of any funds in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated for the payment of the persons employed to
make said copies, at the rate of ten cents per hundred words.
