LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 336.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the Instan-
taneous Fire Alarm Company of Baltimore City, for boxes
placed in Tobacco Warehouses and Normal School of Balti-
more.

To pay claim.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller be and is hereby directed to
draw his warrant for seven hundred and twenty dollars in
favor of the Instantaneous Fire Alarm Company of Baltimore
City, for placing boxes in the various tobacco warehouses and
Normal School of Baltimore, by order of Board of Public
Works.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 337.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 2
of chapter 160, of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at its January session, 1890, entitled "An
act to incorporate the Hampden and Waverly Electric Light
and Power Company."

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 2 of chapter 160, of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session,
1890, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows :

Capital stock.

2. That the capital stock of said corporation shall be one
hundred thousand dollars, divided into two thousand shares, of
the par valve of fifty dollars each, which capital stock may be
increased by the president and directors, to be elected as here-
inafter provided for, to an amount not exceeding two million
dollars.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
