SEC. 225. In case of a vacancy by death, resignation, refusal
to serve, or neglect to qualify, or give bond, or by disqualifica-
tion, or removal from the county, the Governor shall appoint
a person to be county treasurer for the remainder of the
official term; all books, papers and documents belonging to
the office of treasurer are the property of Kent county, and at
all times subject to examination by said County Commissioners,
or any of them.

Vacancy.

SEC. 226. The treasurer to be appointed by the County
Commissioners in the month of April, eighteen hundred and
ninety-four, prior to the date upon which this act is to be
made to take effect, shall continue in office until the first day
of June, eighteen hundred and ninety-six.

SEC. 227. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
inconsistent with this act are hereby repealed.
|
Repeal.
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the first day of June, eighteen hundred and ninety-four.

CHAPTER 293.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections
one hundred and seventeen and one hundred and eighteen
of Article six of the Public Local Laws, title " Caroline
County," sub-title " Federalsburg," and to add an additional
section thereto, to come in after Section one hundred and
thirty-four, and to be designated Section one hundred and
thirty-four A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That sections one hundred and seventeen and one
hundred and eighteen of article six of the Code of Public
Laws, title "Caroline County," subtitle "Federalsburg," be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read
as follows :

Repeal.

|
117. The commissioners of said village shall be five in num-
ber and their term of office shall expire on the fourth Monday
in April in each and every year hereafter.
