be authorized to transact insurance other than life in this State
upon the following conditions: That any such association
organized in this State may be permitted to transact the
insurance business upon the same terms and conditions as are
by the laws of this State imposed upon an insurance company
organized under the laws of this State, and any such associa-
tion organized in any other of the United States may be
permitted to transact its business in this State upon the same
terms and conditions as are by the laws of this State imposed
upon an insurance company incorporated iu the State where
such association was organized.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 261.
AN ACT to repeal chapter 307, of the Acts of 1860, entitled
an Act to incorporate Curtis's Creek Bridge Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That chapter 307 of the Acts of 1860, entitled an
act to incorporate Curtis's Creek Bridge Company, be and the
same is hereby repealed.

Repeal.
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 262.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments," sub-
title "Perjury," to come in after section 226, and to be
designated as section 226 A, and to repeal and re-enact with
amendments sections 227 and 228 of said Article.

added to article twenty-seven of the Code of Public General
