FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

as said section was re-enacted by chapter 262 of the Acts of
1890, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows :

11. Each inspector shall be entitled to appoint a deputy at

335

a salary of nine hundred dollars, a chief clerk at a salary of
one thousand dollars, and two assistant clerks at a salary of eight
hundred dollars, respectively, per annum, and such additional
help, including screwman, and laborers as may be absolutely
necessary for the economical management of the business of
the warehouses; and the screwman so employed shall each
receive two dollars per day, and the laborers shall each receive
one dollar and fifty cents per day; any assistant clerk appointed
under this section shall be assigned by the inspector to duty
as receiving or shipping clerks, in their respective warehouses;
and the screwman and laborers shall be subject to the orders
of the inspectors employing them; but such employment shall
not continue longer than the business demands; and the chief
clerk of each warehouse shall keep a general and full account
of all the business of his warehouse.

CHAPTER 252.

AN ACT to incorporate the American Banking and Trust
Company of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That John Bauernschmidt, Frederick P. Stieff,
Napoleon B. Woolford, George A. Hartman, Frederick Wal-
pert, Emanuel Herman, David Abercrombie, R. Kemp Payne,
Edward P. McDevitt, and their associates and successors, and.
all such other persons as shall hereafter become stockholders
in the company hereby incorporated, shall be and they are
hereby constituted a body politic and corporate by the name
and style of "The American Banking and Trust Company of
Baltimore City," and by that name shall have perpetual succes-
sion and be capable in law to acquire and hold, and in anywise
