City may res-
olate the use
of wharves.

367. The Mayor and City Council may regulate by ordi-
nance the time during which any goods, wares, merchandise or
other articles may remain on any wharf belonging to the city,
or on any of the public wharves other than wharves belonging
to or rented by the State, and that part of Pratt street wharf
reserved for the use of the State, within the said city, or the
time which the vessels, boats or scows taking in or discharging
such goods, wares or merchandise, shall remain at said
wharves, and may regulate, establish and collect for the use of
the city, such wharfage as they may think reasonable, upon
any goods, wares, merchandise or other articles handled at or
upon, and shipped from auy of such wharves.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 22.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Supreme Lodge of the
Order of the Golden Chain of Baltimore City, a corporation
duly formed under the provisions of Article 23 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title " Corporations."

Further
powers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Supreme Lodge of the Order of the
Golden Chain of Baltimore City, a corporation formed under
the provisions of article 23 of the Code of Public General
Laws of this State, in addition to the powers possessed by its
certificate of incorporation, as prescribed by said article of the
Code of Public General Laws, shall have full authority to pro-
vide in its constitution or laws for the times and places for
holding general meetings of its Supreme Lodge, and in its dis-
cretion may hold said meetings within this State or elsewhere,
annually or biennially, as shall from time to time be deemed
proper; and all its acts, orders, resolutions and proceedings
done, passed or transacted at any meeting or meetings held
outside this State, shall be as valid to all intents and purposes
as if the same were done, passed or transacted within this
State.
