SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 225.

AN ACT to repeal Sections one hundred and eighty nine, one
hundred and ninety, one hundred and ninety-one, one hun-
dred and ninety-two and one hundred and ninety-three,
Article nine of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Charles County," sub-title "Wild Fowl," and to re-enact
the same with amendments and additional sections thereto.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section one hundred and eighty-nine, one
hundred and ninety, one hundred and ninety-one, one hundred
and ninety-two and one hundred and ninety-three of article
nine of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Charles County,"
sub-title "Wild Fowl," be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Repeal.

SEC. 189. It shall not hereafter be lawful for any person not
a bona fide resident of Charles county or a land owner therein
to shoot at, shoot or kill, or attempt to shoot or kill, any wild
water fowl in or on any river, stream, creek, or on any of the
tributaries of the Potomac river within the limits of Charles
county.

SEC. 190. Any person violating or attempting to violate the
preceding section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and on conviction thereof, before any justice of the peace in
said county, shall pay a fine of thirty dollars for each and
every offence, and on refusal or failure to pay said tine and
costs of prosecution, shall be committed to the county jail for
thirty days for each and every offence, unless said fine and
costs are sooner paid; and shall also forfeit any gun, trap,
boat or other device used in taking or killing wild water fowl,
which may be found in his, her or their possession at the time
the offence may have been committed.
