CHAPTER 223.
AN ACT to enlarge the powers and franchises of the
German Orphans' Association of Baltimore City, by giving
it the guardianship of the persons of the orphans under its
care, and the right to obtain letters of guardianship over
their estates.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the powers and franchises of the German
Orphans' Association of Baltimore city, a body corporate
duly incorporated under the General Laws of the State of
Maryland, be and the same are hereby enlarged and extended
So as said body corporate shall have the right to become
guardian of the person, and stand in loco parentis to all the
orphans which are properly inmates of the orphans' asylum
conducted by and belonging to said body corporate.
SEC. 2. That said body corporate shall have power, the same

as a natural person under the laws of this State, to apply for
and obtain letters of guardianship from the Orphans' Court
of Baltimore city or any county of this State, over the estate
of any orphan under its care and custody.
SEC. 3. That this act shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 224.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 8
of Article 7, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Car-
roll County," sub-title "Birds and Game," and add an addi-
tional section thereto, to come in after Section 9 of said
article, and to be known as Section 9 A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That section 8 of article 7, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Carroll County," sub-title "Birds and Game,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
