issue license to any peddler, either walking with push cart or
horse or horses and wagons, selling or offering for sale at retail
any wares or merchandise, for a less sum than one hundred
dollars for a walking peddler, two hundred dollars for a
peddler using a one horse wagon, three hundred dollars for a
peddler using a two horse wagon.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That clerks of Circuit Courts
of said counties, shall only issue license to such peddler or
peddlers for one year, and no fractional part thereof.

CHAPTER 189.

AN ACT to amend the charter of The Terminal Warehouse
Company of Baltimore City, a corporation duly created
under Article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, by granting said company authority to make
loans or advances, and to charge commissions and interest
and to make other charges; and making liens of certain
expenses, as well as of all such loans, advances, commissions,
interest and other charges; and granting said company
power of sale to enforce said rights.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That The Terminal Warehouse Company of Bal-
timore City, a corporation duly created under article 23 of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, by certificate,
dated June 13th, 1893, and duly recorded among the charter
records of Baltimore city, is hereby authorized to make loans
or advances upon all goods, wares, merchandise or other prop-
erty of any description whatsoever, which may be received by
or stored with it, or upon any bill of lading, store keepers' or
inspectors' certificates, order for delivery of goods or other
documents showing possession or right thereto, or upon any
evidence of debt, stock or negotiable paper; or to purchase
und sell the same upon such terms as may be lawfully agreed
upon; and it is also authorized to charge such commissions
and interest, and to make such other charges as are customary
and usual; and all charges and expenses due and payable to
the said The Terminal Warehouse Company of Baltimore
