Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Lewis H. Rehn, as such collector and treasurer,
has for the years 1892 and 1893 collected and paid over to
the said State, on account of said license fees, the sum of
$2,580.60; and
|

|

WHEREAS, There is no provision in said act for an allowance
to the collector and treasurer of said city to retain a commis-
sion on said sum of money for collecting the same.

Appropria-
tion.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the comptroller of this State be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the
treasurer of this State in favor of Lewis H. Rehn for the sum
of one hundred and twenty-nine dollars and three cents
($129.03), which sum is hereby appropriated for that purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 119.
AN ACT to amend an Act of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January session, eighteen hundred and
sixty-two, Chapter thirty-five, entitled "An Act to incorporate
the Home Missionary Society of the Maryland Annual Con-
ference of the Methodist Protestant Church," so as to change
the name of said corporation and to enlarge and define its
objects and powers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of the Home Missionary Society
of the Maryland Annual Conference of the Methodist Prot-
estant Church, a body corporate, originally incorporated by the
act of Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-two, chapter
thirty-five, be and the same is hereby changed to the Church
Extension Society of the Maryland Annual Conference of the
Methodist Protestant Church, and that said act of Assembly
lie and the same is hereby amended so that the name of said
corporation, whenever the same is mentioned in said act, shall
be changed as aforesaid.
