election, who shall conduct the election at such place and in
such manner as they shall elect; the polls shall be opened at
3 o'clock p. M., and close at 6 o'clock p. M. The first election
under this act shall be held on the first Monday in May, 1894,
and Ernest B. Horn, Andrew J. Baker and Raymond Barnes
are hereby appointed judges for that purpose.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the may or shall appoint
annually a bailiff for said town, which appointment shall be
subject to the approval of the council; before said bailiff
enters upon the discharge of his duties, he shall file with the
clerk of said corporation a bond, with security to be approved

execution in the same manner as the county taxes for Carroll

diately upon the collection of any money for taxes, pay the

officers of the corporation shall, before they enter upon the
duties of their offices, make oath that they will diligently and
faithfully, to the best of their skill and judgment, perform the
duties of their office, and shall file a certificate thereof, signed
by the officers before whom said oath was made, among the
records of the corporation.
