JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The term for which he was elected does not
expire until November, 1898; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, There is a widespread desire on the part of the
people of said judicial circuit that his term shall be extended
to the end of the term for which he was elected; therefore,

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the term of the said Hon. Henry W. Hoffman, as judge of the
fourth judicial circuit of Maryland, be and the same is hereby
extended for the full term for which he was elected, which
will end in November, 1898.

Joint resolution authorizing the State Board of Education to
inscribe upon the entrance of the State Normal School
building, under or opposite the plinth bearing the names of
the building committee, the names of the principals of the
school, with their terms of service.

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Board of Education be and they are hereby author-
ized and directed to inscribe upon the entrance of the State
Normal School building, under or opposite the names of the
building committee, the names of the principals of the school,
with their terms of service.

Joint resolution authorizing the Comptroller of the Treasury
Department to strike from the books of his office certain old
and worthless accounts, and to discontinue the publication
of the same in the annual report of the Comptroller of the
Treasury.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, It appears from tables Nos. 13 and 16 of the
Comptroller's report for the fiscal year, ended September
thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, that the follow-
ing items are still standing upon the books of the department,
and are published from year to year in the Comptroller's
