JOINT RESOLUTIONS

session begun on the third day of January and
ended on the second day of April, 1894.

WHEREAS, The Honorable John A. Lynch, of Frederick
county, was duly elected associate judge of the sixth judicial
circuit of the State of Maryland, on the Tuesday after the first
Monday in November, in the year eighteen hundred and
eighty-two, for the term of fifteen years from the time of his
election, and until Ms successor is elected and qualified, or
until he shall have attained the age of seventy years; and
WHEKEAS, The said Honorable John A. Lynch has, since

the period of his election aforesaid, discharged hie duties as
associate judge of the sixth judicial circuit, and acted, and is
now acting as associate judge of the sixth judicial circuit, and
will, on the third (3d) day of October, eighteen hundred and
ninety-five, (if his life is prolonged,) attain to the age of
seventy years, when his term of service will expire, unless it
is extended by the General Assembly of this State, by resolu-
tion, pursuant to the third section of the fourth article of the
Constitution.
Therefore, the General Assembly, reposing full confidence
in the ability, integrity, wisdom and sound legal knowledge of
the said Honorable John A. Lynch, and deeming it compatible
with the public interest to extend his term of service,
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

the term of service of the Honorable John A Lynch, associate
judge of the sixth judicial circuit, be and the same is hereby
extended, and the said John A. Lynch continued in office as
associate judge of the sixth judicial circuit, until the Tuesday
after the first Monday of November, in the year one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-seven, and until his successor is
elected and qualified.
