the chief clerk to the comptroller, eighteen hundred dollars ;
for the salary of two assistant clerks to the comptroller, fifteen
hundred dollars each, three thousand dollars; for the salary of
two assistant clerks to the comptroller, twelve hundred dollars
each, twenty-four hundred dollars; for the salary of the treas-
urer of the State, two thousand tive hundred dollars; for the
salary of the chief clerk to the treasurer, eighteen hundred
dollars; for the salary of two assistant clerks to the treasurer,
each twelve hundred dollars, twenty-four hundred dollars; for
the salary of one clerk to the State tax commissioner, twelve
hundred dollars; for the salary of State librarian, fifteen hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of the commissioner of the land
office, fifteen hundred dollars; for the salary of one clerk to
the commissioner of the land office, twelve hundred dollars.

JUDICIARY.

Judiciary.

For the salaries of the chief judges of the first seven judi-
cial circuits, four thousand five hundred dollars each, tliirty-
one thousand five hundred dollars; for the salaries of fourteen
associate judges of the first seven judicial circuits, three thous-
and and six hundred dollars each, fifty thousand four hundred
dollars; for the salaries of the judge of the Court of Appeals
from Baltimore City, and of the chief judge and five associate
judges of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, four thous-
and five hundred dollars each, thirty one thousand tive hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of attorney general, three thousand
dollars; for commissions to attorneys on claims of the State
placed in their hands for collection, five thousand dollars, or
so much thereof as may be necessary; for the crier of the Court
of Appeals, one thousand dollars; for the salary of the State
reporter, one thousand dollars; for the State's subscription to
two hundred copies each of volumes eighty-one and eighty two
of the Maryland Reports, twenty-eight hundred dollars, or so
much thereof as may be necessary, and for the paper on which
said volumes may be printed, four hundred dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, in accordance with article eighty
of the Code of Public General Laws.

MILITIA.

Militia.

For the support of the militia of the State, to be expended
under the supervision of the Governor, forty-five thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for the salary
of the Adjutant-General of the State, fifteen hundred dollars ;
