Appropria-
tion.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to appro-
priate annually towards the support or for the benefit of the
Saint Joseph's House of Industry of Baltimore city, any sum
they deem proper, providing said sum shall not exceed two
thousand dollars.

CHAPTER 82.
AN ACT to enable George W. Long, Collector of State and
County Taxes for Somerset County, for the year eighteen
hundred and eighty-eight, to enforce the payment of taxes
not heretofore collected by him.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, By the act of the General Assembly of 1892, the
time for collecting taxes aforesaid, was extended to April 7th,
1894; and
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, A portion of said taxes remain uncollected, and
it is desirable to extend said time; therefore,
|
|
|

extended.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all taxes heretofore levied by the County
Commissioners of Somerset county for the said year 1888, and
not yet collected by the said George W. Long, may be col-
lected within two years from and after the passage of this act.

force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the act
of 1888, chapter 137, and if any of the amendments thereto
as are applicable to the enforcing of the collection of taxes in
said county for the year 1889, and subsequent years, shall be
applicable to the collection of the said State and connty taxes
for the said county in the hands of the said George W. Long,
for the said year 1888, and shall be and remain so applicable
thereto for two years from and after the passage of this act.
