SEC. 29. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly of
Maryland hereby reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or
repeal this act at its pleasure.

SEC. 30. And be it enacted, That any and all laws of this
State, inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be and they
are hereby repealed so far as they apply to the "Hancock
Bank" named in this act.

SEC. 31. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 650.
AN ACT to change the name of Still Pond Creek to Still
Pond River.

Effective.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the branch or arm of the Chesapeake bay
now known as Still Pond creek, extending from said bay to
the bridge and causeway which constitute part of the public-
road leading from Smithville into Still Pond Neck, in Kent
county, shall hereafter be known as Still Pond river.

AN ACT to incorporate the Monumental Bank of Baltimore
City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John G. Webage, John B. A. Whittle, John
F. Weyler, Patrick Corbit, Harrison O. Wilbur, of Baltimore
city, iii the State of Maryland, and their successors in office,
be and they are hereby constituted and made a body corporate
and politic under the name and style of the Monumental Bank
of Baltimore City, and by that name shall have perpetual suc-
