Sharpsburg to Boyer's warehouse; thence south, eighty-three
degrees west, two hundred and four feet nine inches to i'S. B."
stone No. 6, planted on the south side of the road leading-
from Sharpsburg to Snyder's warehouse; thence south, forty-
eight degrees west, three thousand six hundred and ninety-six
feet to "S. B." stone No. 7, on the west side of the Norfolk
and Western Railroad Company's tract at Snyder's warehouse;,
thence south, thirty-three degrees west, six hundred and
twenty-seven feet to "S. B." stone No. 8, on the west side of
said railroad; thence south, forty-five degrees east, one hun-
dred and nine feet six inches to "S. B." stone No. 9, on the
south side of the National turnpike road leading from National
Cemetery to Antietam station on the Norfolk and Western
Railroad; thence south, eighty-five degrees east, one thousand
nine hundred and eighty-four feet six inches to "S. B." stone
No. 10, planted in fence line of out lots; thence north, eighty-
one degrees east, eleven hundred and seventy-eight feet three
inches to "S. B." stone No. 11, on the east side of out lot lane
No. 2; thence north, seventy-five degrees east, three thousand
and eighty-one feet to "S. B." stone No. 12, on the west side
of Forge road; thence north, seventy-five degrees east, four-
teen hundred and thirty-four feet to "S. B." stone No. 13 ;
thence north, thirty-one and a-half degrees east, four hundred
and sixty-four feet to "S. B." stone No. 14, on the north side
of the Swamp road; thence north, thirty-one and a-half de-
grees east, ten thousand and thirty-six feet six inches to "S. B."
stone No. 15, at southeast corner of Antietam National Cem-
etery; thence north, eight hundred and eight feet six inches to
place of beginning, "S. B." stone No. 1; provided, however,
that for sanitary and police purposes, the burgess and commis-
sioners of Sharpsburg shall have and exercise full power and
control for a distance one-half mile in every direction from
said corporate limits.

SEC. 5. The male citizens of Sharpsburg, of the age of
