LAWS OF MARYLAND.

of Kent county, or elsewhere, or any person or persons acting
for others having the custody of any moneys belonging to
themselves or others, are authorized to deposit the same with
the said Kent County Savings Bank, should they so desire,
any local law of this State to the contrary notwithstanding.

Deposits by
minors and
married
women.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That whenever any deposit shall
be made by a minor, or married woman, such deposit shall be
received or held and paid out on precisely the same terms and
conditions as those of adult male or adult unmarried female
depositors, and the check, receipt or acquittance of such
minor or married woman shall be valid and binding on them,
any law of this State to the contrary notwithstanding.

Repeal.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That any and all laws of this
State, inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be and the
same are hereby repealed so far as they apply to the Kent
County Savings Bank named in this act.

Effective.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 5.

AN ACT to legalize the act of the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County in the purchase by said Commis-
sioners of certain real estate in said County, and to authorize
and empower them to sell and convey the same.

Purchase of

legalized.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the act of the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County in purchasing, on the thirtieth day of
November, eighteen hundred and ninety-two, of James W.
Munroe, attorney, a certain tract of land known or called by
the name of "Bloomfield," and containing one hundred and
fifty-five acres of land, more or less, be and the same is hereby
legalized and made lawful, as fully as if such power had been
conferred on said County Commissioners by act of Assembly
before said purchase was made.

Authorized to
sell.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said County Commis-
sioners be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
sell and dispose of said tract of land, and by a good and
