251 and 252 of Article 23 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland of 1904, as said company may elect to
proceed; provided, that nothing herein contained shall be
construed as relieving said company from complying with
the provisions of the charter of Baltimore city, or from
obtaining the permission of the appropriate county, city or
town authorities where such permission is now or hereafter
may be required by law; and that the said company may

increase, to a number not exceeding twelve, the number of
its directors, at any annual or special meeting of the stock-
holders of said company, and it shall not be requisite for
more than one of the directors of said company to be a citi-
zen of and actual resident within this State; provided, that
nothing contained in this Act shall authorize the within
named corporation to operate in Baltimore city or Baltimore
county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend Section 59 by repealing and re-enacting
with amendments, sub-section 26 thereto, as said sub-
section was enacted by Chapter 481 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, at its January Session,
1902, and to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sec-
tion 61, the aforesaid Section 59 and Section 61 being
Sections of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Dorchester County," sub-title "Cambridge," as
enacted by Chapter 339 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, at its January Session, 1900.
