pany is authorized to enter into any agreement with any
such corporation deemed for the common benefit of both ;
provided, however, that the provisions of this Act shall
apply to Harford and Cecil counties only, and to no other
counties in the State of Maryland; provided, further, that
none of the rights and powers granted by this Act to said
company shall be enjoyed or exercised within the limits of
Cecil county, except as provided in paragraph 7 of Section 1.

7. And be it further enacted, That said company shall have
the right to supply the public, including individuals, munici-

palities and corporations with electric current for heating,
lighting, driving machinery, or for any other purpose what-
ever for which such currents can or may be used, and to
maintain, operate and equip such suitable plant or plants as
may be required, and to locate, acquire, construct, equip,
maintain and operate by the most practical routes to be
determined by the board of directors of said company, lines
for the transmission of current or power by wires or poles
or underground cables or any or all other convenient appli-
ances for the transmission of current or power to any or all
points within the limits of said Cecil county, and to furnish
such quantities of electric lights, electric heat and electric
power, or any of them, as may be required or desired at
any point in said county, and to construct, maintain and
operate a railway within the limits of said county, com-
mencing at or near Conowingo, and extending across said
county in the most direct and practical route to connect with
a railway leading from the Maryland and Delaware State
line to the city of Wilmington, in the State of Delaware,
with the proper and necessary switches, turnouts and all
mechanical contrivances, devices and appliances suitable to
operate either a single or double track railway, and to run
thereon cars and carriages for both freight and passenger
traffic, drawn or propelled by electric power, and to pur-
chase, acquire and own such real estate and rights of way
as may be necessary for the purposes set forth in paragraph
7 of Section 1 of this Act, including the right to acquire
the same by condemnation proceedings, as provided in
Article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws; provided,
