draw his warrant upon the Treasurer of the State of Mary-
land in favor of the said Estella A. McDermott, adminis-
tratrix aforesaid, for the sum of $3,437.50 in payment afore-
said.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 456.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 4 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland, as the same was amended and
re-enacted by Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, title "City
of Baltimore," sub-title " Special Fund," said new section
to come under said sub-title, and to follow immediately
after Section 777, and to be known and designated as
Section 777 A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws' of

Maryland, as the same was amended and re-enacted by
Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, be and the same is hereby
amended and re-enacted by the addition of a new section to
come under the sub-title "Special Fund," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 777 of said Article, and be known and
designated as Section 777 A, so as to read as follows :

777 A. The said board of police commissioners are hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to include the superin-

tendent of matrons and the matrons of the several station
houses of Balimore city, within the provisions of Section 777
of this Article, so that they may enjoy the same rights and
privileges and benefits, subject to the same limitations and
conditions as are therein prescribed and conferred for the
retiring of the members of the police force for the said city
of Baltimore; provided, however, that the said superin-
tendent of matrons and the matrons of the several station
houses of Baltimore city, within the provisions of Section
777 of this Article, shall pay into the special fund the sum of
