SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 54 of the Acts of the General Assembly,
passed at the present session, 1906, entitled "An Act author-
izing the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county to
erect and establish a free bridge over Tracey's creek, in the
Eighth Election District of said county, and for the neces-
sary roads leading to the same, for the convenience of public
travel," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, so as to read as follows :

SEC. 2. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

re-enact.

That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county be
and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
cause to be built a substantial bridge, to be of the width of
not less than twelve feet, over and across Tracey's and Rock-
hold creeks, in the eighth election district of said county,
from a point on the west side of said creeks to a point in
the Great Swamps, to be located by the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel county; and the said County Com-
missioners are hereby authorized and empowered to acquire
by inquisition, purchase or otherwise, all the lands and mate-
rials necessary for the construction of the said bridge and
abutments and for all necessary and suitable roads leading
to and from the same, for the convenience of public travel;
and said bridge, when built, shall be maintained and kept in
proper repair by the County Commissioners as a free bridge.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said County Commis-
sioners in said bridge to be built shall have said bridge pro-
vided, if necessary, with a suitable drawbridge over the
navigable part of Rockhold creek of not less than twenty
feet in width for safe and secure passing and re-passing of
vessels navigating the same.

authorized and directed to levy on the assessable property of
said county at the next annual levy thereof such sums of
money as may be necessary to carry out and secure the pro-
visions of this Act; provided, however, that such levy shall
so be made as to complete said bridge and roads suitable for
public travel leading thereto during the year 1906; pro-
vided, that the cost of said bridge and constructing neces-
sary roads to reach the same and putting them in proper
