accounts and financial condition of corporations, firms or
individuals for the use of banks, other financial institutions,

To act as ac-
countants
and auditors

banking firms or others proposing to make contracts with or
to afford credit to such corporations, firms or individuals, and
to make such examinations and reports for the use and
information of directors, officers or others concerned or for
any other lawful purpose; also, to collect information of
general, financial and commercial interest, and to make pub-
lication and distribution thereof, and to receive compensa-
tion for such services; the said corporation shall be author-
ized to purchase, acquire, hold and dispose of the stocks,
bonds and other evidences of indebtedness, of any corpora-
tion, domestic or foreign, and issue in exchange therefor its
stocks, bonds and other obligations.
SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That the said company hereby

created shall have the power to enact and adopt such rules,
regulations and by-laws for the government and management
of the affairs of said corporation as it may deem advanta-
geous to the interests thereof; provided, the same be not
contrary to the law of the land.

Liability of
stockholders
|
SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That said company shall be
subject to the provisions of Chapter 109 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1892, and any supplements thereto and
amendments thereof; and the liability of the stockholders
thereof shall be as prescribed in Article 3, Section 39 of the
constitution of this State.
SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 406.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
54 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at the present session, 1906, entitled "An Act to
authorize the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County to erect and establish a free bridge over Tracey's
Creek, in the Eighth Election District of said county, and
for the necessary roads leading to the same, for the con-
venience of public travel."
