and to execute, acknowledge and deliver all deeds and legal
papers and any instruments concerning the same; to accept
and execute trusts of every kind and description which may
be committed or transferred to it with its consent, and
which may relate to and affect the proceeds of any insurance
contract made with the said corporation.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the directors shall

have power to declare such dividends or profits of the said
corporation as they may deem proper; provided, that no
dividend shall be declared when the capital stock would be
impaired thereby.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 384.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
3, 6 and 16 of the charter of the town of Garret Park, of
Montgomery County, Maryland, as enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland, by Chapter 453 of 1898, and
amended by Chapter 7 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1902.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1898, entitled "An
Act to incorporate the town of Garrett Park, in Montgomery
County, Maryland," as amended by Chapter 7 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1902, be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
so as to* read as follows :
Section 3. The citizens of the town shall, on the first Mon-
day in May in the year 1906, and every second year there-

hours of 2 o'clock P. M. and 7 o'clock P. M., elect by ballot
