enacted by Chapter 356 of the Acts of 1902, and Chap-
ter 648 of the Acts of 1904, be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted as Sections 184 A 1, 184 A 2, 184 A 3,
184 A 4, 184 A 5, 184 A 6, 184 A 7, 184 A 8, 184 A 9, 184 A 10,
184 A 11, 184 A 12, 184 A 13, 184 A 14, 184 A 15, 184 A 16,
184 A 17 and 184 A 18, to read as follows :

Officers.
Section 184 A. The officers of said corporation shall be a

Mayor, a Council composed of six members, a clerk, a treas-
urer, a bailiff who shall be tax collector, a board of health of
three members, who shall severally enjoy such powers and
perform such duties as may be prescribed by this Act and
the ordinances passed in pursuance thereof. The Mayor,
the members of the Council, the bailiff, the clerk, and the,
secretary of the board of health shall be elected by the
voters of said town; the treasurer shall be elected by the
Mayor and Council. The bailiff shall by virtue of his office
be one member of the board of health. The Council shall at
at its first meeting in each term elect one of its members to
serve upon the board of health during the year in which
elected until his successor has been elected by the Council.
The secretary of the board of health shall be a physician
and shall reside within the limits of the corporation of Mid-
land, and when elected shall constitute the third member of
the board of health. All the officers elected by the Council
shall hold offices, respectively, for one year from the first
Monday in June in the year for which they have been
elected and until their successors shall have been elected and
qualified; any officer, whether elected by the people or
appointed by the Council, or by the Mayor, with the consent
of the Council, may be removed at any time by a majority
vote of the members of said Council for misconduct, neglect
of duty or inability to perform the duties of his office.
