tions be, and they are hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to be
numbered 168 A, 169 A, 171 A, 172 A, 173 A, 174A, 174 B and
174 C, and to read as follows :

Section 168 A. It shall not be lawful for any person to
take, catch, capture or kill fish in the waters of the tribu-

Queen's Anne's county and in the waters of 'Eastern bay and
its tributaries within the jurisdictional limits of Queen Anne's
county by seins, drag-nets, set-nets, fish buckets, fish-pots,
weirs, pound-nets, pykes, or any other means, traps, devices
or contrivances whatever now known or used, or that may
hereafter be invented or used in taking, catching, capturing
or killing fish from the thirtieth day of June to the first day
of August in each year except with hook and line; provided,
however, that seins or nets may be used for the taking of
taylors and mackerel fish, provided the meshes of such seins
or nets are in the bar not less than one and seventh -eighths
inches, or in the mesh not less than three and three-quarter
inches.

Section 169 A. It shall not be lawful for any person who
uses stakes or poles in setting nets of whatever class or

description, or in setting any trap or contrivance for catching
fish in any of the waters mentioned in the preceding section, to
lease such stakes or poles in the waters where they are
used, but shall remove, or cause to be removed, such stakes
or poles from the waters where they were used on or before
the twentieth day of May in each year, nor shall they again
be put down in said waters prior to the first day of August
following.

master, principal, owner, employee, or in any capacity to take,
catch, capture or kill fish in the waters of the tributaries of
Chester river within the jurisdictional limits of Queen Anne's
county, and in the waters of Eastern bay and its tributaries
within the jurisdictional limits of Queen Anne's county, with
any, kind of net, traps, device or contrivance now used or that
hereafter may be invented or used in taking, catching, captur-
ing or killing fish; provided, that any person being a bona
fide resident of the said county who desires to take, catch
