WHEREAS, It was further provided . that the commission
created for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions
of said Act, and the said commission, in addition to other
duties prescribed, were to provide proper " means of heating
and of furnishing said building and the several offices
thereof, and appropriating the sum of two hundred and
ninety thousand dollars ($290,000) for defraying the expenses
of purchasing a lot, the erection of a building thereon and
furniture for the offices therein; " and
WHEREAS, The said sum so appropriated was consumed
before any part of the same could be used for furnishing the
office of the clerk of the Court of Appeals, the State
reporter's office and the attorney's waiting room; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purpose of providing furniture for the

office of the clerk of the Court of Appeals, the State
reporter's office and the attorney's waiting room in the "new
public building," the sum of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500)
or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appro-
priated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated, and to be expended under the control and
direction of the clerk of the Court of Appeals, and he
shall receive no other compensation for his services than
his actual traveling and necessary expenses incurred in
performing the duties prescribed by this Act. And the
Comptroller of the State treasury is hereby authorized to
draw his warrant on the Treasurer of the State on the
order of the clerk of the Court of Appeals, certified by the
Governor of the State, for the expenses incurred as herein
provided for.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the clerk of the Court

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
